In addition to being recommended in five of our strategic focus areas, several of our attorneys have been rated personally and highlighted for their qualifications and work:

Real Estate and Construction (Tier 3)

The ‘experts in construction law’ housed by Skau Reipurth are frequently engaged on matters spanning the entire spectrum of construction law, possessing demonstrable credentials when it comes to complex construction contracts and major project development work. Practice head Jeppe Reipurth is a key contact for construction contracts and agreements.

Skau Reipurth has a hands-on approach. They use a single point of entry thus keeping continuity in the client relationship. They are staffed sufficiently but the practice is still small enough to keep every client well served and feel centered.

They are experts within construction law and specifically litigation. They focus on getting the job done and excel at following up. They give confidence that they can get the job done and achieve the agreed objectives.

The team is high level in its field, and is particularly recognised by a successful blend of senior, semi-senior and younger specialists, where the younger are well supported by the more experienced counsel. That provides good value and services to clients. Overall the team is easily accessible and cases are dealt with efficiently and in a hands-on manner.

The practice has niche focus areas. In the area of construction and in particular construction disputes and claims, it offers specialist expertise in resolving disputes under Danish law and under Danish dispute resolution processes such as arbitration. The team brings legal (which goes without saying) and, more importantly, a strong technical understanding to the issues brought before them. The team has also shown an appreciation of our strategic goals in managing potential disputes i.e whether to litigate or not, settle or not. Although a Danish law firm they have an understanding and appreciation of the international perspective of their client and so are a good fit for advising and managing Danish disputes for clients who are international/have an international perspective.

Our contact partner and the team we use is led by Christian B. Prophet-Rannow who has been very ably assisted on various matters by Nikolaj Byriel-Øvall who is an excellent lawyer, able to manage matters for Christian with our total confidence. What stands out to other Danish law firms is the efficient delegation by Christian B. Prophet-Rannow of matters to the appropriate person within his team – in our case the time/allocation of tasks seamlessly between himself and Nikolaj. From a general counsel’s perspective they have a keen awareness of when they can manage the matter directly with the business and when general counsel input is required.

Commercial, Corporate and M&A (Tier 3)

Skau Reipurth’s corporate, commercial and M&A offering is praised as a ‘solid team with strong legal competences and really good business understanding’. ‘Remarkable deal maker’ Peter Skau-Andersen leads the team has notable experience in handling all elements of M&A processes and strategies, including legal due diligence, and drafting and negotiating transaction documents. Elsewhere within the department, Claus Ryberg Hoffmann advises on company and commercial law.

Strong team across the board, with high quality partners overseeing the matters.

Peter Skau is very commercial, engaged and with strong legal capabilities.

The team easily and quickly understands our needs as a client and adjusts their scope of work accordingly.

Morten Vibe is especially reliable. Always available. Gives a feeling of full attention to all details – large or small – but with a good gut feeling of highlighting important matters and just handling the simple stuff.

I experience a truly integrated team where requests and issues are solved by the most relevant partner – Skau Reipurth masters the discipline of internal coordination and collaboration with true benefit for their clients.

Mette Vestergaard Huss stand out as a committed and energetic partner. She contributes outside the field of law with a zest for the commercial exceeding the standard in the market.

I primarily see Peter Skau-Andersen. He is by far the star of the firm and a truly remarkable dealmaker. Peter is very pleasant and always able to see the bigger picture. He is an excellent negotiator with a great skillset to solve the issues that inevitably pop up during transactions.

What we appreciate is always having access to senior, very experienced, legal advisers. With this, we are comfortable that the right direction is set and that we end up with the best solution.

Data Privacy and Data Protection (Tier 3)

Skau Reipurth is well versed in handling full risk analyses and compliance set-ups, alongside acting as external official DPO and GDPR compliance officer for large corporations in Denmark. Mette Vestergaard Huss is known for advising NGOs, worker’s unions and other volunteer and political organisations.

I worked with Mette Vestergaard Huss. I believe she stands out with her preparation and the way she listened. She was very good at explaining the issues in a “down to earth” way – not using to many lawyer expressions that makes things hard to understand.

We have been using Mette Vestergaard Huss for several years now, and are always extremely happy with her and her insights and understanding of our company combined with her in-depth knowledge of technology and data protection. I also want to add that Mette always is a pleasure to work with.

Our collaboration has been of great value for our company, especially because of Mette Huss’ great knowledge and her solution-oriented approach to solving the challenges we present to her.

Employment (Tier 4)

Skau Reipurth has extensive experience in all areas of labour and employment law, seeing an increasing number of international and cross-border transactional work. Head of team Jonas Enkegaard arrived in December 2022 and is known for his comprehensive knowledge of both Norwegian, Swedish and Danish employment law.

The team has unique experience, ranging from difficult dismissal cases to cross-border, large-scale re-organisations and always provide top-level advice with a business-oriented approach.

Jonas Enkegaard really stands out for his long experience working with a range of sectors, which makes him an excellent adviser. His deep knowledge of the law combined with practical skills is much appreciated.

A smaller firm but offering individualised treatment. Strong, commercial advice.

Jonas Enkegaard is a clear communicator and always looking for sensible commercial solutions.

Dispute Resolution (Tier 4)

Infrastructure, construction, employment, procurement, and IP-related disputes are the core focuses of the ‘exceptionally strong group’ at Skau Reipurth. Frederik Kromann Jespersen heads up the dispute resolution practice group, while Jeppe Reipurth leads the specialist construction disputes team.

The team acts quickly and competent on new cases.

Frederik Kromann Jespersen really makes a difference.

Jeppe Reipurth quickly understands the basis for a dispute even in complicated matters and is always good at finding the right strategy for dispute resolution.
