Skau Reipurth strengthens its team

12.01.24

On 1 February 2024, Trine Overby Laursen, attorney, joins Skau Reipurth as a partner, and Michala Bylov Rath, attorney, joins shortly thereafter as an associate partner.

Both attorneys come with solid experience from some of the largest law firms in Denmark and have for nearly 20 years specialised in construction law and, for instance, provided advice on a vast number of high-profile related cases. The partner admission thus cements Skau Reipurth’s position in the market as one of the strongest construction law teams.

Trine Overby Laursen is, for example, a member of the Board of Directors of the Danish Building and Construction Arbitration Board and has deep insight into the current trends of the construction industry. Michala Bylov Rath brings in-house experience from the engineering company Sweco, from where she has also derived in-depth technical insight and project understanding. The partner admission thereby adds additional professionally competent resources to Skau Reipurth’s specialised construction law department, which, in addition to partners Jeppe Reipurth and Christian Prophet-Rannow, consists of a team of 14 specialists.

Our construction law team thus consists of 18 specialists in total.

Jeppe Reipurth, partner, emphasises that:

It is a great pleasure to have admitted Trine and Michala to our partner group. I have had the pleasure of working closely with both of them at Plesner law firm, and we have subsequently “crossed swords” in a number of construction disputes. I therefore know them very well professionally and see a number of synergies that we expect to benefit from both professionally and commercially.

Trine and Michala have established a growing business and were looking for a platform for its further development, and owing to Skau Reipurth’s position as one of Denmark’s strongest construction law firms and us being former colleagues, it was an obvious and good match.

Trine Overby Laursen, partner, states as follows:

My business needs a solid platform that can contribute to the support and further development of our continued growth, and, in this respect, Skau Reipurth’s professional profile as a top-tier construction law firm is an excellent match. I see a favourable dynamic which may help to further develop my existing business, for instance as a result of my now 16 new colleagues who are highly specialised in my field. It will be a pleasure. In addition, of course, I will also have a number of new colleagues from Skau Reipurth’s other strategic focus areas, enabling me in future to offer my clients an even wider range of advice. Michala and I have a close collaboration on a large number of my cases, which I value highly, and so I am happy that we will continue the journey together in a new setting. We share Skau Reipurth’s vision of providing advice applying the very highest professional standards and dedication for the benefit of the clients, and we are both looking very much forward to getting started.

We warmly welcome Trine and Michala to the Skau Reipurth construction law team!
