Skau Reipurth strengthens the team

As of 1 September 2025, Skau Reipurth has welcomed Dr Jur. Peter Mortensen as Senior Legal Expert. Peter joins our Real Estate department, while also contributing his extensive experience and expertise across several of our other strategic focus areas.

Peter has broad experience in commercial law and advises in particular on the use, transfer and financing of real estate. In recent years, he has also focused on energy and environmental law – an area of increasing importance in light of the electrification of society and the green transition. His appointment therefore also strengthens our strategic focus area within Energy and Environmental Law.

Peter has further advised national and municipal infrastructure authorities on matters including compulsory purchase, easements, landowner agreements and compensation. As a former High Court judge at the Eastern High Court, he has also gained valuable insight into dispute resolution processes. Alongside this, he has many years of experience as a professor at the University of Copenhagen, where he teaches property law and insolvency law and has published extensively on commercial law topics.

With Peter’s appointment, Skau Reipurth further strengthens its Real Estate and Energy & Environmental Law departments, adding significant expertise within areas such as planning law, utility rights, compulsory purchase and public regulation of real estate.
